James Mears Holding a Raunchy
James Mears passes away at 77. A well known Combat pilot and supporter for most of his life. Designer of the Raunchy in 1963 and many other very successful combat designs. The Mears gang, James, Bob, and Andy attended most of the combat events across the country, along with other Lubbock team members, Riley Wooten, Pete Jaden, Bently Page, and Larry Driskill. He judged several NATS, team trials, and always was there to help with other events when needed. He was a huge supporter of combat, and always had stories to tell. He will be missed by all who knew him.
